Who am I?

I am a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Reading. My thesis’ focus is broad, attempting to trace the work of the publisher Allen and Unwin through the upheavals and social changes of the last century, with a focus on the consistent attempts made by the publisher to maintain an open forum, publishing both sides of the argument, taking an objective and open stance. This has led me to an ultimate aim to spread awareness of the necessity to nurture critical thinking skills throughout populations, in the context of the Global Society in which we are so often at the whims of targeted manipulations and powerful and deliberate divisiveness.

This page will contain a series of pieces discussing various issues that justify my argument – ideas from philosophy, psychology, sociology and neurology – all of which point to the human brain’s evolved fallibility. With this, I hope to begin delivering tuition and creating accessible courses to teach critical thinking skills to a spectrum of learners.
